Should You Shop Apple Deals on Prime Day?
That’s the tricky part.
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days officially run October 6 and 7, so we could see additional Apple discounts once the event begins.
But some current deals are already pretty significant — including AirPods Pro 3 at about $50 off, AirPods Max 2 at about $100 off, AirTag 2 four-packs around $20 off and select MacBook Air configurations around $150 off.
If something you already planned to buy hits a price you’re comfortable with, you don’t necessarily have to wait for the official sale.
I’ll be keeping an eye on the travel and creator deals as we get closer to Prime Big Deal Days and updating my picks as new discounts appear.

Apple Prime Day FAQs
For most travel content creators, the 13-inch MacBook Air is the sweet spot. It’s lightweight enough to carry everywhere while still offering plenty of power for photo editing, short-form video, social media, and everyday content creation. If you regularly edit large 4K projects or do more demanding professional work, a MacBook Pro may be worth the extra power—but it also means carrying a heavier, more expensive laptop.
If you find a strong early deal on a product you already planned to buy, there’s no guarantee it will be cheaper during Prime Big Deal Days. Amazon prices can change throughout the event, and popular configurations may sell out. My rule: if the current discount is good enough that you’d be happy with the price even if it drops slightly later, buy it. If the discount is small, waiting until October 6–7 may be worth it.
Choose the 11-inch iPad Air if you want a lighter device for planning content, editing photos or short videos, replying to messages, and working between flights. Choose the MacBook Air if you need more storage, a full desktop-style workflow, or a larger setup for ongoing photo, video, and website work. The best choice depends on whether portability or a laptop-style workspace matters more for your trips.
